Did you know that Walmart has weekly Flash Deals that offers some amazing savings? I was today years old when I discovered them. Think savings up to 70-90% off clothing, electronics, tools, school supplies, and even furniture. The deals are online only and Walmart DOES NOT advertise them anywhere. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t even find the link to them on their homepage. But I did some digging and discovered everything that you need to know to save.

How to Find These Walmart Flash Deals

Walmart apparently does NOT want you to find these clearance Flash Deals because they do NOT make them easy to find. I couldn’t find a link anywhere on their homepage which makes me believe that they really don’t want to advertise these deals.

They’re banking on clearing out this stuff by word-of-mouth and hoping most shoppers still fill the majority of their online carts with stuff that’s sold at full retail price.

With that said, I found the best way to get the Flash Deals page is to simply do a search for “Flash Deals” in their main search bar (on either their website or app) and it will quickly drop down a link that you can click/tap on.

From there you’ll be sent to the Flash Deals homepage where they breakdown this weeks deals by category. Some of the more popular shopping categories include electronics, jewelry, clothing, tools, kitchen, pets, sports & outdoors, toys, and even seasonal decor.

PRO TIP: QUICKLY SORT THE DEALS

Walmart actually let’s you sort the Flash Deals which is handy.

While you can’t currently sort by Highest Savings, you can tap All filters and sort by Price: Low → High which quickly gets you to your price point.

I like to also sort by In-Store so I can snag pickup-ready items before they sell out.

The Deals Disappear Quickly…

One deal that immediately caught my eye were 18k white gold plated earrings for only $16.99. Regularly $130…are you kidding me? How about a $168 Bluetooth sparker for only $21.39?

But here’s the catch, inventory is always changing and the deals only last 1-week and expire every Friday at midnight, ET.

They actually have a countdown clock that shows you when all the deals disappear and a new batch pops up.

But…if a deal sells out before the countdown clock reaches zero, then it’s over for that product. Sold-out, likely to never return. (Update: The earrings I mentioned above were gone 2 hours after I first discovered them)

So if the deal is great, don’t procrastinate thinking you still have time, it could very well sellout before you decide to make the purchase.

PRO TIP: CLICK ON “NEW TO FLASH DEALS” FIRST

I highly recommend getting in the habit of tapping “New to Flash Deals” first. Walmart adds new stuff to their Flash Deals section throughout the week and this how you can quickly find them. So it’s a great way to see all the brand-new items, not the same old crap that won’t sell.

Remember, new things tend to sell out the quickest. So if you look here first, you’ll have the best chance to get the color, size, or pickup time you need before everyone else grabs them.

Heard Rumors of Jacked Up Shipping Fees?

There are a bunch of rumors floating around online that Walmart offers these Flash Deals to entice shoppers, then hits them with high shipping costs to make up for the low price.

FALSE.

The Flash Deals all come with the same standard shipping policy at Walmart. Spend at least $35 and your Flash order ships for free. Under $35 and you’ll be hit with a $6.99 fee. And if you’re a Walmart+ member you get free shipping with no minimum.

PRO TIP: MAKE YOUR RETURN EASY

Surprisingly, not all Flash Deals are sold and shipped by Walmart. Some come from a 3rd party Marketplace seller and are simply fulfilled by Walmart.

Take a close look on the product page and it will tell you who’s selling it. If it’s a Marketplace seller, the return window is usually 30 days and the return method is often mail-back only. Read the seller’s policy on the product page so there are no surprises down the road if you have to return something.

Better yet, try to only buy Flash Deals that are sold and fulfilled by Walmart so you get their 90 day return policy and can make the return in-store.

Personal Experiences From Yours Truly…

If you’ve hung around my blog long enough, you know I like to put my money where my mouth is. So I’ve made a few Flash Deal purchases recently and wanted to tell you what I’ve learned.

Beware of Inflated “List Price”

OK, so first thing worth mentioning is that the more expensive the Flash Deal item, the more inflated the “list price” seems to be.

A couple examples:

1. TCL 85″ QM6K 4k Smart TV – The list price is $2,999 and the Flash Deal price is $997.99 for a “savings” of $2,002. After some research, NOBODY is trying to sell this TV for $2,999. Also, Best Buy has the same exact TV for $999 at the time I wrote this. Best Buy also has a 85″ TCL with slightly lower resolution for only $599.

2. Sanptent Laptop 15.6″ Full HD, 16GB RAM, 512 GB SSD – Walmart has it priced at $299.59 and has the strike-thru list price at $1099. Again, nobody is trying to get eleven-hundred dollars for this thing. You can actually get it cheaper at AliExpress if you want to wait about a week to get it delivered directly from China.

Takeaway: Always do your research and never assume a Flash price is a good price. Walmart is trying to trick you, especially on more expensive items, by having a ridiculously high list price.

Check Out “Resold” Flash Deals

I also stumbled upon Flash Deals on refurbished items making your potential savings even greater.

Walmart terms them “Resold” deals for some confusing reason, but the prices are really good and often undercut Amazon’s refurbished prices.

An example I ended up buying was the Dyson V11 Cordless Vacuum. Walmart had the refurbished price at only $249.99 (reg price $429.99) while Amazon sold the same exact “renewed” vacuum for $375.95.

And before you ask, both vacuums were in Refurbished- Excellent condition and came with a solid return policy. Anyways, worth knowing, don’t sleep on the “refurb” deals at Walmart.
